FAQ
Following your initial consultation, the dentist will advise you on how often you need to attend for dental exams. This can vary from 3 months to a year, depending on a number of risk factors, such as your age, rate of decay and gum health.
By ensuring that any problems are identified early and treated quickly, you can help to save yourself from large dental bills in the future.
At each appointment, the dentist will:
- Fully assess your teeth and gums.
- Look for the early signs of gum disease and tooth decay
- Perform an assessment for any signs of mouth cancer. You will be referred to the hospital should they have any concerns.
- Take x-rays to enable them to look at those areas not visible to the naked eye, be that tooth roots, your jawbone, between teeth or under crowns or fillings.
- Look at lifestyle factors that may be affecting your oral health and will advise on the best oral hygiene routine to follow in between dental appointments to keep your teeth looking their best.

I’m really happy with the service that I get from Sevenoaks dental and implant centre, they are a friendly team. I hadn’t seen a dentist for over 12 years until I was seen by them so my teeth were in bad shape and they have gone above and beyond to save my teeth. I one hundred percent recommend them for all your dental needs.
My son does not have a dentist and had raging toothache which turned out to be an abscess. We were able to get a same day appointment at reasonable cost. Strong antibiotics prescribed and excellent advice from a caring dentist. Now on the waiting list for NHS place.
A great service
