No, lingual braces are not available on the NHS. They are only available on a private basis. We do however offer a number of finance packages to help you spread the cost of your treatment.
Lingual braces normally cost more than the price of conventional braces. This is because lingual braces are custom made in a dental laboratory> You receive custom-made brackets that will only fit your teeth, which virtually guarantees excellent results and gives you a streamlined straightening process. Prior to beginning any treatment, you will be given a detailed treatment plan, with all the associated costs.
You will need to attend regularly, roughly every 6-8 week. This will ensure that your dentist is able to monitor how your teeth are moving and make adjustments.
Each treatment is based on your individual needs, and you will be provided with a full treatment plan prior to treatment which will give you an accurate estimate of how long treatment will take. Most cases take around 12 -18 months.
