Inman Aligners are cost effective removable teeth straightening appliances that move teeth in a fraction of the time of any other system. It aligns crowded or protruding front teeth with two opposing spring-loaded aligner bars. This gentle pressure is the quickest way to move teeth, but it also makes the treatment very safe and kind to teeth.
Inman aligners are suitable for people with crowded upper or lower teeth, protruding front teeth, gaps between teeth, uneven teeth, and misaligned teeth, it is less suitable for people with biting problems and cannot be used to move back teeth. The aligner can also be used in what is known as pre-restorative alignment.By using an Inman aligner to move the body of the tooth into the correct place it allows your dentist to restore them using veneers, bonding or crowns in a more conservative and natural way.
The aligner is easy to use and can be taken out at any time. Ideally you should wear your aligner for 18-20 hours a day.
Note that it can take up to 7-10 days of wearing the appliance to become acclimatized and you may find that the Aligner can feel a little uncomfortable to begin with. During this period, your speech might be affected but things should return to normal within 10-15 days.
After your initial two consultations you will need to attend for bi-weekly or monthly visit. This will allow your dentist to monitor your tooth movement and they will then be able to adjust your aligner as required.
One of the major benefits of Inman aligners is the speed of treatment. The average treatment time is only 4-16 weeks.
