What is the benefit of preventive dentistry?
Our focus on preventive dentistry enables you to keep your teeth looking their best for years to come. It is important that you attend for your regular dental appointments, as often as your dentist recommends, as this allows your dentist to identify any problems early, reducing the risk of expensive dental treatment.
Our highly experienced dentists have many years of experience, so will be able to provide you with a range of solutions to address any concerns that you may have. Prior to treatment you will be provided with a full treatment plan detailing all the options available and we will ensure that you have enough information to make an informed decision on how to proceed.
How do I keep my teeth healthy?
Brush your teeth daily – Use a fluoride toothpaste to brush your teeth for at least two minutes twice a day.
Use interdental cleaning aids – this helps to remove plaque and bacteria from between the teeth, where a toothbrush cannot reach.
Attend for regular dental appointments – attend for dental appointments as often as the dentist recommends.
Ditch the cigarettes – smoking harms the body’s immune system, which means people who smoke may experience slow healing following dental procedures and an increased risk of developing gum disease.
Limit sugary foods – Instead eat plenty of fibre rich fruits and vegetables, proteins, and dairy products.
Drink water instead of sugary drinks – Try to stick to drinking water during the day and limit sugary drinks to mealtimes.
